Skitouren auf den Lofoten, Norwegen

The Lofoten Islands have received the award “most beautiful place on earth” several times. We feel the same way.
Experiencing this area on skis makes it even more “beautiful”.

Lofoten, one of the most visited tourist destinations in Norway. People come here to climb, hike or simply admire the beautiful nature. And of course fishing! There's a lot going on here in the summer months, but it's a little quieter in the winter. 

If you've already done a ski tour in Scandinavia, you already know how special it can be; you and your friends, a mountain all to yourself, and no tracks in the snow. When you have the Atlantic Ocean, the sharp peaks of the mountain peaks all around you, then you know you are in Lofoten.

The peaks in Lofoten are not particularly high. Sometimes the pointed mountain peaks rise more than 1000 meters into the sky. If you want short climbs with a lot of nature experience, you've come to the right place. If one ski tour per day isn't enough, it's easy; then we'll do another one! In Lofoten there are many easy ski tours, but also steep gullies and generally steep descents, for those who are looking for a challenge. 

We start the week with simple ski tours, later we can accommodate your own wishes.

The months of February, March and April are the best months for ski touring in Lofoten.

Trip

The easiest way to get to Svolver Airport (Lofoten) is by plane.
You can also get there by ferry from Narvik, and to Narvik you can take the night train from Stockholm or Gothenburg.

The hotel

We are staying at Hotel Skårungen, 3 km outside Kabelvåg on the Lofoten Islands; a cozy hotel located on a fjord. There is also an “outdoor SPA”, sauna and a whirlpool.
