Get autumn off to a great start with a girls' climbing trip to Finale Ligure!
This trip is organized in collaboration with Daniela Ebler (Climbing4Life) and IFMGA guide Alice Arata. The trip is specifically aimed at climbing girls who are beginners or climbing up to 6b+/6c. As we are two instructors, we can, if necessary, divide the group and adapt the climbing so that everyone gets a suitable challenge!
Finale offers everything from gray old-school vertical and sloping walls full of pockets to red steep walls with crimps and jugs. As a bonus, there are really nice caves to climb in and around the corner we also have Oltra Finale which offers super fine tufas!
During this week we will vary the climbing and show you the best Finale and Oltra Finale have to offer. Of course, there is room to wish for a certain style and length of the climb. We will also choose rocks that suit the weather so it won't be too hot/cold when we climb.
We have accommodation in Borgio Verezzi with the sea around the house. It is also close to grocery stores and restaurants and approx. 5 minutes drive along the sea to Finale. You live in apartments with a kitchen where you share the rooms two and two, but you can pay extra for your own room/apartment. On the first and last evening, we plan a joint dinner out and the rest of the week you can choose for yourself whether you want to go out or eat at home. We check in at the property on September 28 and check out on October 5.
During the week we have 5 climbing days and one rest day. The climb will include contain:
- An introduction where we get to know each other
- Review of safety at the cliff
- Belay techniques and fall techniques
- How outdoor climbing works (for those who haven't done it before)
- Technical training in Swedish
- Technique training on steep climbing
- Mental training where we learn to work with fears and attitudes
We will continuously give you feedback on the climbing during the week and also give you technique exercises to work on to improve your climbing. Every day there is a warm-up in the morning and stretching in the evening by the beach (weather permitting).
