The area offers a unique combination of towering peaks, glaciers, and vast, untouched landscapes – right in the heart of Lapland’s mountain range. Beyond the skiing, it’s the setting itself that makes Kebnekaise so special. Here you are truly in the middle of the Arctic mountains – far from lifts and villages, surrounded by silence, light, and wild nature. After a day in the mountains, you can look forward to a sauna, good food, and a warm atmosphere back at the mountain station.

For longer tours with multiple overnight stays, we stay in mountain huts along the way. Some examples include Tarfala, Singi, and Sälka, beautifully located in the heart of the mountains. The huts are simple but functional – often without electricity or running water – and provide a genuine, pared-down wilderness experience close to nature.

Some equipment can be rented through us on our Kebnekaise trips – such as touring skis, climbing skins, poles, and avalanche gear (transceiver, probe, and shovel). If you have your own ski boots with tech inserts, we recommend bringing them for a better fit and comfort. You’ll receive a complete packing list before departure.

Is avalanche risk an issue in Kebnekaise?
