All off-piste skiing involves a risk. We recommend you to review your insurance before your trip.

Sweden
Mountain rescue is free in Sweden. However, it might be good to review your accidents insurance.

The Alps and other countries
In France, the mountain rescue is free as in Sweden. In the rest of the world, however, mountain rescue (by helicopter) can be costly.

Start by checking your home insurance, some insurance companies include off-piste skiing.
If your home insurance does not cover off-piste skiing we recommend The Austrian Alpine Club.
By becoming a member you get insurance in all countries throughout the world.
